Exploring History

Melbourne central business district is a modern space accented with memories of its history. Tucked between buildings are spaces known as arcades. It was in the Block Arcade that we stopped for a quick bite.

Since 1892, the Historic Tea Room served specialty teas and coffees along with delicious cakes.

At the Royal Arcade we watched the 7 foot tall statues of Gog and Magog mark time on the Gaunt Clock by ringing their bells, a task that they have performed since 1892.
